Nikita Zook

I collaborated with Tori Minor to design visual art branding for her business, The Motherbiome, a postpartum care and education provider offering healing guidance and support after birth. 

The goal was to design a logo for The Motherbiome that conveyed a sense of their reliable and trustworthy services. The client requested I work with green, reds, oranges and yellows.

The challenge for this project was to design something that was both organic and geometric. My first idea was to use texture to add softness to a distinct shape. 

I wanted to convey the safety and comfort that people would experience when working with The Motherbiome and I chose warm and soft colors to help support that.

Other iterations explored concepts based in nature, but were ultimately not used.

FINAL LOGO

The final mark achieves both the organic and geometric feeling. The client was drawn to the moon shape and roundness.
